Very often we build a product intending to do A. When we launch, we see some of our users using it for a totally unexpected use case! This is what happened with Assistant Bot.
Originally intended as a project manager tool for teams, we now see users using it for personal tasks!
A family member (we will assume mama of the house, Jane Doe), texts Assistant Bot create projects like “personal errands”, “house chores” and “school”.
Jane then shares the invitation code with family members.
Family members text the invitation code to Assistant Bot. Done! They’re members of the projects.
As Mama Jane assigns tasks, each family member is notified on WhatsApp/Telegram. As they complete each task, Mama Jane is notified on WhatsApp and everyone is happy!
Interesting use case, isn’t it? Come to think of it, it makes total sense since most family members are on WhatsApp/Telegram these days. This makes it super easy to onboard your entire family to “projects” and have them help with things in the family!
